Small Group Ministry
Feel free to join one of our Small Groups! We have two groups you could join. Small Groups are fun places where you can make new friends, study God's Word, pray together, and encourage each other.
Do we need a third or fourth Bible Study Small Group at Harlingen Church? Anyone can start one. All you need are three or four people to get it going. Please contact Pastor DeYoung if you need help starting your own Small Group. Small groups can meet any day of the week, mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Group for Men and Women
This Bible study group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening of each month.
Group for Men
The men's breakfast group meets every Saturday morning at 7:30 AM in the Church Library. A different topic every week - so you will never fall behind. You can come every week, or whenever you can.

Alpha
The
Alpha course is a 15-session, ten-week practical exploration of the Christian
faith. The course aims to nurture unbelievers, seekers and new Christians
by allowing them to ask questions, to explore the claims of Jesus Christ
in depth and to be listened to without judgment.The course structure of meeting for a meal, singing, talk and a small group discussion on a weekly basis is intended to make evangelism and discipleship much less threatening to the nonchurched. Frequently, guests who come to faith through the Alpha course return on subsequent courses as helpers and then as leaders of small groups.
Alpha began over 20 years ago as a small group for Christian seekers in a pastor's home in London. It has developed over the years and, in its current form, has been embraced by nearly 12,000 churches in more than 50 denominations in 74 countries. It is a simple, dynamic and effective way of presenting the message of Jesus Christ in a clear and non-threatening manner to people from all walks of life.

Committees
Committees are the backbone of the congregation. That's where a lot of the work is done. Our Consistory needs individuals with skills and interests to serve on its committees. Here is a list of our committees. If you are a member of the Harlingen Reformed Church you can sign-in at the Member-Sign-In.
