Harlingen Church offers a service that honors and respects our "Old Country Church" while staying fresh.  You will find a relatively traditional service with a more extemporaneous and contemporary message related to how we can live a better, more fulfilled life.  Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.

We believe God loves all children and longs for them to learn and hear God speak to them.  We welcome all families, with children of any age, to worship together in the sanctuary.  A children's bulletin is provided for them to work through during worship. Encouraging children to sing the songs, listen to the reading of God's Word, the prayers, and, depending on the age, listening to at least part of the message helps them understand how God might be working in them.

At this time, because of COVID-19, we have halted our Sunday morning youth classes.

PARKING AND ENTRANCE

Harlingen Church has a gravel lot.  Please feel free to park along the building or along the outer edges of the lot.  We also have permission from our neighbors to use the doctor's office across the street on Dutchtown Road, or the lot at Gasior's Furniture, located on Route 206.

Our main entrance is at the front of the building, but we do have a handicapped access ramp on the south side of the building (along Dutchtown Harlingen Rd).  Once services begin, all external doors are locked to minimize distractions.  However, for those running a little late, the only entrance will be at the front of the building (facing Route 206).

In this COVID-19 World, expectations for gathering in worship have changed.  Our services are at 9:30 a.m. (moving to 10:00 on Sept. 13), and you are welcome to come as you are comfortable.  You will find people from jeans and t-shirts to casual dress - not many ties, few jackets, some dresses/skirts.  Pastor is usually in a shirt and tie.  Services are also streamed live via under the Livestream tab above.

Everyone will be expected to abide by the following guidelines however:

  • Entrance is through the front doors facing Rt 206.  Handicapped ramp is available along Dutchtown-Harlingen Rd if climbing stairs is unsafe or not possible.
  • Masks must be worn in church.  If you forget, one can be provided
  • All are asked to maintain social distancing, sitting in openly marked rows.
  • Please remain seated for worship unless asked to stand.
  • Please remain in the sanctuary (auditorium).  Restrooms are available if needed, however they are not on the main floor (a motorized chair ramp is available to assist).
  • Upon the conclusion of church, please exit through the doors you came in.  Time of fellowship out on the lawn with social distancing is welcomed.  Cold, bottled water will be provided during this time
